Gina Menninger, MFT-TRNE

Clinical Therapist Intern

Welcome! I’m Gina, a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Intern at National University and am so grateful to be a part of Serenity Behavioral Health Services!

Our sessions will be a thoughtful and collaborative experience. Together, we will gradually establish trust in a safe, non-judgmental environment, where we can develop the skills necessary for you to progress in your life beyond the therapy room.

I help my clients strengthen their self-awareness and resilience, overcome communication and relationship challenges, or assist in finding a sense of direction or purpose during periods of stuckness. I also help process recent (or not so recent) mental health diagnoses/behavioral health issues and guide you in your next steps towards alignment with your unique needs and preferences. I thrive in helping people make small changes that have lasting impacts.

My approaches to therapy are rooted in spirituality and evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Family Therapy, Gottman Methodology, strengths-based therapy, motivational interviewing, somatic experiencing, and meditation.

I have personal and professional experience with individuals, couples, adolescents, teenagers, and families seeking help with self-esteem, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, depression, personality disorders, PTSD, divorce and co-parenting issues.

The human experience is a wild ride, and I look forward to being a part of your journey!
